2023 ALFA ROMEO TONALE MAKES ITS DEBUT AS BRAND’S NEW C-SUV

Alfa Romeo is known for their craftsmanship when it comes to their vehicles. This time-honored tradition continues with the unveiling of the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale, a car that symbolizes the brand’s pivot towards electrified vehicles with immense connectivity features.

Being the first C-SUV made by the brand, it will come in two powertrain setups: A Plug-in Hybrid model and a traditional model that uses a 2.0-Liter Turbo 4-Cylinder. The PHEV is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission system as well as a 90kW electric motor. Current estimates give this PHEV an electric driving range greater than 30 miles.

The model making use of the 2.0-L Turbocharged engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and is rated at 256 horsepower and a torque level of 295 pounds-feet. It also fits the standards of SULEV 30 which proves the low number of emissions produced by the vehicle.

For connectivity and infotainment features, the Alfa Romeo Tonale makes use of Uconnect 5 that’s operated through a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The driver will also have a 12.3-inch cluster screen for their own usage. Alfa Connect is the brand’s solution to over-the-air functions and updates, backed up with an Andriod-based automotive OS. The 2023 Tonale will have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard features.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale will come in three different trim levels; Sprint, TI, and Veloce. All models will be receiving an NFT digital certificate, a first for any car to be sold on the market. Using blockchain technology, each car will have a unique link to the buyer which will certify their purchase and help to protect the car’s residual value.

Orders for the Alfa Romeo Tonale will be available by the end of 2022 with the first models being shipped out by the start of 2023.
